Prayer for Someone Having Surgery: Surgery is a medical
procedure involving major incisions to remove, repair, or
replace a part of the body. This is usually approached with
fear, especially when it relates to delicate organs of the body.
But the God who created the body knows best how it functions
and can keep it in good condition.

The medical profession is one of the greatest blessings that
ever happened to man. So, God often works with the medical
personnel whenever they invite Him into a situation. There are
physicians in Zion.

“Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why
then is not the health of the daughter of my people
recovered?” (Jeremiah 8:22).

However, God would not have us trust in physicians instead of
Him.

“And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased
in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his
disease he sought not to the Lord , but to the physicians” (2
Chronicles 12:16).

So, even when a physician is very good with his skills, He
would still need God to deliver well. And as the medical
personnel themselves say, “We care but God cures”.

When someone we know is preparing to undergo a surgery, it
could be very disturbing, but it is also an opportunity to pray.

Prayer for Someone Having Surgery

Thanksgiving: Lord Jesus the Great Physician, thank You for
the provision for our health.
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and
be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 2).
Successful Procedure: I pray for anyone having surgery, let
him/her survive it in Jesus name. Work through the medical
procedures for a successful surgery in Jesus name. Let there
be no single error to cause complications in Jesus name.
Defense Against Manipulation: Father, let both the surgeons
and patients come under Your shadow so that the enemy will
not be able to manipulate them in Jesus name.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).
Post-Surgical Recovery: Jehovah Rapha, let Your healing
virtue speed up the recovery of everyone who has
successfully gone through surgery in Jesus name.
Recovery of Expenses: Father, let there be a recovery of
expenses made to secure safe surgery in Jesus name. Help to
pay back for those who had to take loan for their surgery in
Jesus name.
Appreciation: Thank You for answered prayers. In Jesus
name I have prayed. Amen!
