Prayer for My Daughter

Prayer for My Daughter–Your daughter is your female
progeny. She is potentially the mother of another generation.
Training a girl child is like sowing the seed for a nation. She
carries the beauty and tenderness to incubate and nurture
visions and help bring them to pass. She is raw energy
cocooned within a weak exterior. And when she knows God
and walk in His ways, it’s an added advantage. To fulfill her
great destiny, she needs your prayers.

When your daughter do well, acknowledging and praising her
boosts her confidence.

“Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest
them all” (Proverbs 31:29).

The delicateness of her appearance tempts a careless man to
despise what she carries inside. This, however, is an
opportunity to afford her time to build sufficient capacity before
she is exposed to be discovered by her king.

The Bible is full of examples of great heroines. Some of the
notable ones among them are:

Rebecca: If not for Rebecca the mother of Jacob and Esau,
Isaac would have given his blessings and heirloom to the
wrong man. She heard God's verdict on the twins, and
ensured its fulfilment.

“And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and
two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and

the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and
the elder shall serve the younger” (Genesis 25:23).

Rahab: Though a stranger and a harlot, this lady risked her
life and family to save the Israelite spies sent to Jericho, and
by so doing, she earned for herself a place in the genealogy of
Christ (Matthew 1:5).

Deborah: Though a woman, Deborah became the portrait of a
brave military leader. She was a wife, a prophetess and a
judge at the same time.

“The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel,
until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel”
(Judges 5:7).

Jael: She killed an enemy general that even valiant men could
not apprehend.

“Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite
be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent. He asked
water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a
lordly dish. She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to
the workmen's hammer; and with the hammer she smote
Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and
stricken through his temples. At her feet he bowed, he fell, he
lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there
he fell down dead” (Judges 5:24-27).

Other women of undeniably notable heroic deeds include, but
are not limited to, Ruth, Abigail, Esther, Mary Magdalene,

and Dorcas, etc. These women risked their lives and comfort
to fight for their espoused courses.

On the other side of the coin were women like Delilah and
Jezebel who were stumbling blocks and destroyers. If they
were prayed for and well brought up in the ways of the Lord,
they would have done marvelously good with the same
potentials that they used to achieve so much evil.

Pray diligently for your daughter.

Prayer for My Daughter

Thanksgiving: Father, thank You for my daughter. Thank You
that she’s gradually growing up into a beautiful lady to bring
You glory someday.

Depth in spiritual knowledge: Father, teach her to know You
better and be willing to pay any price to fit into Your perfect
will for her. Help her to be a good example of a true believer
who is worth emulating in Jesus name.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”
(2 Timothy 2:15).

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the
believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith,
in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).

Preservation from corruption: Father, the world is dirty and
corrupt. My daughter shall not be carried away with it in Jesus
name. She shall stay pure and unstained in Jesus name.

“Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no
unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that
bear the vessels of the Lord” (Isaiah 52:11).

Divine Leading: Father, my daughter is young and
inexperienced. Lead her in the paths that will help bring out
her greatest potentials in the journey of life in Jesus name.
Help her to grow into a great wife and mother in Jesus name.
Thank You for answered prayers. In Jesus name I have
prayed. Amen!
