Prayer for Good Health

Prayer for Good Health–Wealth is not profitable until it is
accompanied by good health. A man on the hospital bed once
cried to the doctor, “Please, under the bed is any amount of
money you'll need. Just take it and ensure I live”, but he
eventually died. Proverbs 11:4 says, “Riches profit not in the
day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.”

Health is Holistic: A good health is the state of well-being in
the body, mind, and soul. That is true wealth, hence the
popular saying, “Health is wealth”. A good health requires that
your mind is calm and untroubled. This is not dependent on
what you have but on contentment with what you have. Then
the mind would communicate to the body what condition it
should be in.

The Superiority of Health to Healing: Healing is a recovery
from a sickened condition while health keeps you intact from
sickness. You would have suffered already before healing
comes. Therefore, prevention is better than cure. Do
Whatever you can to maintain your health from failing. This
has everything to do with God, for nothing you do is capable
of keeping you in perfect condition as the One who made you.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on
Thee: because he trusteth in Thee” (Isaiah 26:3).

The Role of Prayer in Maintaining Good Health: When you
pray, you release your burdens to the Lord. By so doing, the
weight that should bug you down is cast off. That, on its own,
helps to boost your health.

“Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

“Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you” (1
Peter 5:7).

Refusal to pray is a sign of pride. It indicates that you feel
sufficient in yourself. That is why humility is said to precede
prayer:

“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their
wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive
their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Prayer for Good Health

Thanksgiving: Father, I thank You for paying for My health
through the stripes of Your Son. Thank You that I can trust in
Your commitment to my wellness. Be magnified in Jesus
name.
Forgiveness: Father, forgive my carelessness with my health
in Jesus name. Forgive any violation of the requirements for
living in good health in Jesus name.
Protection of the Body and Mind: Father, protect my body
and mind from anything that can cause them to break down in
Jesus name. Be my immunity against sickness in Jesus name.
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou
disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise

Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God”
(Psalm 42:11).
Skills for Good Health: Lord, teach me the skills that are
peculiar to maintaining my health in Jesus name. Let me not
like what will hurt me, and let me not hate what I need to live
in perfect health in Jesus name. Give me the discipline to
avoid the habits and foods that can damage my health in
Jesus name.
The Body & Blood of Christ: Father, I connect to the quality
of life in the body and blood of Your Son in Jesus name. Let
the incorruptible life and vitality in them find expression in me
in Jesus name.
“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His
blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth My flesh, and
drinketh My blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at
the last day” (John 6:53-54).
Thank You for answered prayers. In Jesus name I have
prayed. Amen!
